The value of X is 20°
Solution
∠A = (3x + 40)°
∠C = (5x - 20)°
∵ Co - interior angle is 180°
∴ ∠C + ∠A = 180°
=> (5x - 20)° + (3x + 40)° = 180°
=> 8x + 20° = 180°
=> 8x = 180° - 20°
=> 8x = 160°
=> x = 20°
