• At present, the casino industry of the Philippines is on the rise and is hoping to become a major player regionally and even globally. Manila is in the process of opening various casino and gaming establishments. In 2014, it earned $2.5 billion in revenues which is an increase of 16% from the year prior.
• Local restaurants would receive a flock of foreign visitors who came from the casinos. These foreigners would then get a chance to try the local cuisines. This further contributes to the country's tourism. In a sense, casino tourism also encourages diversity.
