The first, second, third, fourth, fifth, and sixth positions are the five most important positions in the world.
Folk dancing has five fundamental positions.
- The first place. The feet are straightened outward and the heels are maintained together.
- The second place. One foot separates the feet, and they are straight outward in a straight line.
- Position three. The heels are positioned together, one in front of the other, and the feet are turned outward.
- Position number four. If you drew a line from one foot's heel to the other's toes, you'd have the sides of a square. The feet are separated by one foot and turned outward with one foot in front of the other, parallel to each other.
- In the fifth spot. A foot is placed squarely in front of the other on either side of the body, and the big toe's initial joint reaches past each heel.
