Title: Endangered Species in the Philippines Research Work

Procedure:

1.Research 1 endangered plant or animal found in the Philippines

-Why do you choose to research this animal or plant?
-What is currently been done to protect the species?(any laws)
-What are the threats to these animal or plant?

- The tamaraw is a small, stocky buffalo. Adults are grayish-black in color, with a darker line running along the spine and white markings on the insides of the forelegs. Lighter markings are also found above the eyes, where they form " eyebrows".

- I choose to research this animal because I want to protect them for hunters and to promote their sustainable life and to protect their habitat so that they will continue to multiply.

- prior acts of congress had protected some wildlife, but the endangered species Act of 1973 was the first federal legislation to protect endangered animals.

- Tamaraw was habitat loss due to farming by resettled and local people, with high human population growth rates in and around its remaining habitat. In some areas, fires set for agriculture are a threat to the species habitat.
