TYPE OF PLATE BOUNDARIES
Studying plate boundaries is important because along these boundanes in
deformation of the lithosphere is happenug, Divergent plate movement occurs
when plates pull apart from each other. When iwo (2) plates diverge, pieces from
such plater sink towards the Earth's mantle. On the other hand, convergent
movement occurs when plates crush into each other and land crumples, forming
trenches and mountains. Lateral or transform fault movement occurs when plates
move alongside each other in different directions.
