The importance of research has several facets. It often satisfies our curiosity. It keeps clever minds busy and helps to give purpose. It broadens our knowledge base both individually and collectively which in turn hopefully leads on to new products and ways of doing things. Lastly it facilitates connections and understanding both of which are good fun and quite pleasurable.
