BRIGADA PAGBASA Read the story below. Nilda was a bright girl who loved her plastic pearl necklace very much. She wore them everywhere - to her class, to be and whenever they went out. The only time she didn't wear them was in the shower - her mother told her that they would turn her neck green. One night, after father read her a story, he asked Nida that if she really love him, she would give him her y: pearls, Nilda refused. A week later, after reading a story, her father again asked Nilda for the pearls. Again, Nilda refused. Then one night, when he came to read her a story, Nilda was sitting on her bed and her lips were trembling. She gave him pearls. With one hand her father held the plastic necklace and with the other, he pulled out of his pocket a blue velvet box. Inside the box were real, beautiful pearls. He had them all along. He was waiting for Nilda to give up the cheap necklace, so he could give her the real thing. ACTIVITY 1.
