It was found from the results obtained that okra seed coagulant was effective in removing the turbidity of surface water because the turbidities of the water samples considered were removed effectively at an optimum dose of 300 mg/L of the seed extract with optimum pH of about 7.0 from 745 NTU to 11 NTU for sample 1 .
