The three bones found in the human ears are: Stapes also known as stirrup which is considered the smallest human bone, the Hammer in the eardrum, and lastly, the Anvil found in between the series of bones.

Stapes is found within the inner ear. Due to its shape it is also termed as stirrup.

Malleus is the bone attached to the eardrum (see picture). It is also known as the hammer since it is the one that transmits sound vibrations from the eardrum.

Incus also known as anvil is the one that receives sound vibrations from the hammer, it is found in between the chain of bones.
