Problem:
- What is the value of a,b, and c in 2x(x-3)=15
Solution:
- Used the Standard Form Ax² + bx + c = 0, and take note, that in order to get the a, b and c the equation needs to be in its Standard Form.
- [tex]2x(x - 3) = 15[/tex]
- [tex]2 {x}^{2} - 6x = 15[/tex]
- [tex]2 {x}^{2} - 6x - 15 = 15 - 15[/tex]
- [tex]2 {x}^{2} - 6x - 15 = 0[/tex]
Therefore the answer is a = 2, b = -6, and c = -15
