Pope Francis has ventured out in achieving ecumenism through having dialogs with different religions. They have done these dialogs in order to achieve unity and harmony amongst other religions, to acknowledge the issue of religious persecution and also world peace.
This ecumenism was much more put in the light because of the theme of the church in 2020 is the Year of Ecumenism, Inter-Religious Dialogue & Indigenous People.
