Personal values determine the nature and priority of your goals.
I can set a goal of say
“I am 77kgs, 12 % body fat by oct 2020” .
And another one such as
“I do a family trip around the world with my family by Oct 2025”
Now, both of these are goals. The values determine which one will be your primary goal. One focuses on health and the other one family. Now if you value health more then obviously you set the first one and the second one later. Now once I become fit by 2020, I now can choose any other goal as my primary goal. Please note there could be only one primary goal in your life at any point of time. There could be other important goals that you work towards but those will be secondary. This priortisation is the key to clarity in goal setting
