A circular loop of area 5 x 10-2m 2 rotates in a uniform magnetic field of 0.2 T. If the loop rotates about its diameter which is perpendicular to the magnetic field. Find the magnetic flux linked with the loop when its plane is 1. normal or 0degress to the field 2. inclined 60degrees to the field and 3. parallel or 90degrees to the field.

Sagot :

Solution:

A= 5 ' 10-² m²; B=0.2 T

(i) θ = 0°

ΦB = BA cos θ = 0.2× 10-²× cos 0°

ΦB = 1×10-² Wb

(ii) θ = 90° – 60° = 30°;

ΦB = BA cos θ = 0.2×5×10-² ×cos 30°

ΦB = 1×10-²× √3/2= 8.66×10-³ wb

(iii) θ = 90°

ΦB= BA cos 90° = 0
