The Kulintang for me is the best instrument in Mindanao.
Kulintang, since it is the finest and most important instrument used by mindanaons. Since Kulintang is a collective of instruments from the southeast, it has passed down from generation to generation, and it can be found as social entertainment at a variety of different occasions. It is seen at big feasts, festive/harvest celebrations, entertaining visiting friends and relatives, and parades.
- Kulintang music is thought to be an ancient practice that predates Hinduism, Buddhism, Islam, Christianity, and the West. It is the highest level of gong music attained by Filipinos in the Philippines, and it is said to have existed for centuries in North Maluku.
