During this period, Vienna continued to attract artists and musicians from all over Europe, among them are the two most remarkable composers/musicians; (2) (1732-1809), (3) (1756-1791), and (4) (1770-1827). Even if Franz Joseph Haydn was (5) older than Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, both men experienced the French Revolution and they also had many other things in common. They were personal friends and they both admired the works of each other. Both men provided a model for the young (6) and many other composers of their era. The word "(7) " became popular because of these composers and became the adjective most often applied to any work of the late eighteenth century.
