YOU CAN USE THIS
Media is a tool of communication which comes from different sources such as tabloid, magazines, television, cellphones, etc. All of this is media from which we all learn and are informed on the latest news or oldest news from different parts of the world or from history. It plays a major role in the lives of people and of course in the history of independence in Philippines. I use media in my daily life since the day I was able to see, hear, walk and speak. I use to watch cartoons when I was just a little girl and also my family uses radio in those times listening about the good songs/news it has to offer.
Media overtime improves while I grew older. The improvements were excellent because it brings more convenience and make the lives of many easier. In the media of today I can perform research works in the internet were information can be accessed at the push of a button. What I learn from the Philippine history and its connection with the use of media in the independence of the country and its process is that media can be a huge impact towards giving information to the public depending on its usefulness. It can also bring a huge effect towards the masses.
In the history of the Philippines, media is one of the causes that brings people together; like for example in the time of martial law where the people came together in EDSA to make a revolution towards the reign of Marcos and his dictatorship. It is the time of judgment for President Marcos because the Pilipino people are against his rule and he has nowhere to escape his fate. In that time media was the source of information which brings the whole nation unto the fall of the dictatorship. It is the day freedom from dictatorship was felt and embraced with. This shows the power of media which cannot be belittled.
Another example of the use of media for a revolution is at the time of Dr. Jose Rizal, a national hero of the Philippines. He was renowned for his novels and writings against the Spanish rule in the Philippines that ruled over 300 years until it gained independence years after the death of Dr. Jose Rizal. Media is really helpful wherever you look at it. It is the Gold of communication, information and socialization. Media was also used at the time of The Katipuneros. They use letters to exchange information between allies and to give orders. This helped them govern there advances and plans against the Spanish rule.
In conclusion media is important not only in the lives of individuals but also in the part of communication, information and socialization. It helped me in my school assignment, research, projects and many more. The possibilities are scaled up to a thousand or more with the power at the end of your fingertips. Media is really a way of communication and innovation in the present time where technology and advances in science and information is flourishing. :))))
OR THIS
The media in the Philippines is just as corrupt as the government institutions. They have their own agenda and they also have to adhere to the elites that own the network. While the individual journalists are as easy to receive bribes as the next politician to give some politicians air time. They can try promoting notorious politicians by using neutral choice of words to make them seem partial thereby avoiding any accusation of bias.
The mistake Filipinos made is that the press are incorruptible. In the Philippines, even the church and judges of high tribunal are corruptible. Let us not even talk about the National Police and the Military
