My friend was absent for two weeks already. Everybody in class thought that he may have dropped. However, I doubted their assumptions. I called him on the phone and asked if how he was doing. He sounded dull and unhappy. I told him that the class thought he dropped his classes, but I did not believe them because it was unlikely for him to stay absent for quite a while. He told me that his mom was sick and he is the only person who can attend to her needs. After we talked, I talked it over with my mom. We decided to send him food and medicine. I also shared him my notes which he had missed.
Note: It is important to always know the different sides of a story before making any conclusions. In this manner, we can avoid irrational judgments that could hurt other people.
