The world's major mountain belts/ranges are not randomly distributed over the Earth's surface. They tend to be concentrated in narrow zones. Most are located near the edges of the continents; some are in mid- continents. Not all edges of continents and mid-continents can be places where there are major mountain belts.Answer​
