1. The diameter of a compact disc (CD) is approximately 12 centimeters.

a. If ten thousand CDs were placed in a row, do you think the length would be more or less than 1km?

b. Write an expression for the length of x number of CDs placed in a row.

2. The length of a rectangle is two more than twice its width. If the area of the rectangle is 24 square meters, find its dimension.
